Ediky
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an OA (Online Assessment)?
An OA is a timed, remote coding and/or aptitude test companies use as an early filter before interview rounds — usually one to three coding problems plus, depending on the company, a behavioral or aptitude section. Ediky's OA Simulator lets you rehearse this under the same time pressure and, for some companies, the same topic weighting as the real thing.
Is Ediky free?
Yes. Ediky is free for software engineers on both the web and the native desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux — no credit card required to sign in and start practicing.
What companies does Ediky cover?
Ediky's problem bank has company-tagged questions for Amazon, Google, Microsoft, D. E. Shaw, Adobe, Flipkart, Cisco, Bloomberg, Meta, Uber, and others, and one-click OA mock test presets for Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Cisco, and Uber. Coverage is real and growing — see the company OA guides for exact counts per company, including where Ediky doesn't have data yet.
How is Ediky different from LeetCode?
LeetCode is a general problem bank. Ediky adds a timed OA simulator with real company formats (question count, duration, and topic weighting matched to what specific companies actually test), a CS fundamentals bank (DBMS, OS, OOP, CN, LLD, HLD, STL), in-browser SQL practice, aptitude practice, and a native desktop app — aimed specifically at the placement/OA pipeline, not just general problem solving.
Do I need to install anything to practice?
No — the web app runs entirely in the browser, including the in-browser IDE (C, C++, Python, PyPy, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Rust, Kotlin) and the SQL runner. The desktop app is optional, for offline-friendly practice and background content sync.
How does the OA Simulator decide which questions to use?
Company presets pull from Ediky's tagged question bank using a weighted, topic-balanced selection engine, matching each company's real question count, time limit, and topic mix where that data is available. For companies without a preset yet, the manual OA Builder can still filter the bank by company to assemble a custom timed test.
