Roadmap

Placement Preparation Roadmap (12-Week Plan)

A realistic 12-week placement plan splits roughly into: weeks 1-6 on DSA fundamentals through graphs and DP, weeks 3-8 running CS fundamentals and aptitude in parallel (they don't block on DSA, so start them early), weeks 7-10 on company-specific OA simulation once the fundamentals are solid, and weeks 10-12 on timed full mock tests and weak-area revision. The biggest mistake is doing everything sequentially — aptitude and CS theory should start in parallel with DSA, not after it.

Weeks 1-6: DSA fundamentals

Follow Ediky's DSA Roadmap topic order (arrays through graphs, DP last). Don't start company-specific OA presets yet — they'll mostly test topics you haven't reached, which wastes the realistic-pressure value of a timed mock test.

Weeks 3-8: CS fundamentals + aptitude, in parallel

Start these in week 3, not after DSA is "done" — they don't depend on your DSA progress and most candidates leave them too late. Ediky's CS Fundamentals section has 351 questions across DBMS, Operating Systems, OOP, Computer Networks, LLD, HLD, and STL. Aptitude has 236 quantitative, logical, and verbal reasoning questions with instant results — this is the section most technical candidates under-practice, and it's often the first filter in a placement drive (see the TCS NQT guide).

Weeks 7-10: company-specific OA simulation

Once graphs and DP are solid, switch to Ediky's one-click company OA presets (Amazon, Google, Microsoft) or a custom company-filtered mock test (Flipkart, and any other company you're targeting) to rehearse under the real time pressure and topic weighting each company actually uses.

Weeks 10-12: full mocks and revision

Run full timed OAs back to back, not just isolated problems — endurance under a 90 minute clock is its own skill. After each attempt, use Ediky's topic-wise weak area report to decide what to revisit rather than guessing. SQL Practice (24 in-browser questions) is worth a dedicated pass in this window too if your target companies include a database round.
